At HKliving we believe creativity can be found in the most unexpected of places, and that design inspires self discovery and can lead to beautiful surprises. One of these is our collaboration with Amsterdam based illustrator Sella Molenaar. Driven by her passion to celebrate the beauty of femininity and the journey to its discovery, Sella’s art gives life to a ‘controlled impulsivity’ in which an harmonious tension between control and technique is balanced against minimalism and artistic freedom. Always searching for beauty in the imperfections; it is often the uncontrolled lines, small mistakes and serendipitous additions that make her drawings stand out.
We felt her mission to reconnect as many people as possible with their feminime side and creative fire aligned with our mission to make a positive impact through the power of design. We decided to unite our experience and love for design with Sellas’s creative talent to co-create two special wall chart pieces. Leveraging her multidimensional expertise, we merged aesthetics to find a surprising and exceptional result in which we translated what's in common between Sella and us into two mesmerizing wall charts.
The result is that the newest additions to your wall will inspire you to embrace your inner feminine energy. At first glance, it’s soft minimalism grabs your attention, but, as it sits on your wall, endless interpretations will come to your mind. Adorn your space not just with something that attracts but also with what inspires!
